ZODIAC SIGNS

Most Zodiac signs are very old, these existed even before the Egyptian Empire.  Similar symbols are found in the hieroglyphics of ancient pyramids and tombs as well as the ruins of the ancient Greek and Roman Empires.  It is thought these Zodiac signs first appeared in Ur, the ancient capitol of the Chaldean Empire of Mesopotamia in what is the present day country of Iraq. 

Beginning with the basic ancient Chaldean symbols, these Zodiac signs have expanded to incorporate images contributed by subsequent civilizations and societies from around the world.  They are arranged in four groups of three, depicting the “old world” elements of Fire, Earth, Air and Water.
